DHS SBIR Post Award Meeting & Commercialization Workshop
Meeting Location
Please use the visitors entrance, just to the left of the main entrance.

Check-in begins at 8:30. Please make sure to arrive early as everyone will have to go through security each time they enter the building. For your assistance, we will have a team member outside of ICE Headquarters that will show you which door to enter.
ICE Headquarters requests that visitors do not bring any large bags into the facility including duffel bags and backpack. Purses and computer bags are authorized. Prohibited items include any type of weapons, mace, knife, explosives and chemical irritates.
Once you pass through Security, a member of the SBIR team will help direct you to the conference area.

Parking Directions –Federal Parking Inc.
The closest parking garage to ICE Headquarters is Federal Parking Inc located on 550 12th Street SW. This parking garage is located in Potomac Center North. When entering the garage, head towards the public parking side that is in the front middle of the building.
Parking Directions –SP+Parking
In addition to Federal Parking Inc, SP+Parking is located across the Street from ICE Headquarters, offering plenty of public parking. SP+Parking entrance is off 12th Street SW
Metro
Metro Directions –Smithsonian
- Take the metro to Smithsonian station (part of the Orange, Blue and Silver Lines).
- Once you get off the metro, take the exit via 12th Street SW & Independence Avenue SW.
- You will arrive at the corner of 12th Street, SW & Independence Avenue, SW where you will turn right on 12th Street SW and walk 0.3 miles (2 and a half blocks) to ICE Headquarters at 500 12th Street SW
Metro Directions –L’Enfant Plaza
- Take the metro to L’Enfant Plaza (part of the Green and Yellow Lines in addition to the Orange, Blue and Silver Lines).
- Exit the metro through EXIT C via 9th St, L’Enfant Plaza.
- Follow exits signs for L’Enfant Plaza/D and 9th Streets.
- Once outside, take the stairs down to D Street SW and turn left.
- Continue walking west on D Street SW for .3 miles to 12th Street SW.
- Turn left onto 12th Street SW.
- ICE Headquarters is the first building on the left at 500 12th Street SW
Lunch/Breakfast options
*There is currently in no on-site cafeteria at ICE HQ. You are welcome to bring your lunch. For your convenience, there are vending machines available*
Café 12
The closest dining option to ICE Headquarters is Café 12, which offers sandwiches and light breakfast options. Café 12 is located directly across the street at 409 12th St SW, Washington, DC 20024. It is open from 6:30 AM-3:30 PM.
L'Enfant Plaza Food Court
In addition to Café 12, the L’Enfant Plaza food court is located a few blocks from ICE Headquarters. The food court offers a variety of different lunch and light breakfast options.
Walking directions from ICE Headquarters to 841 D Street SW
To get to the food court, take an immediate right out of the ICE Headquarters entrance and walk up to the to the intersection of 12th and D Street and turn right. Proceed to walk down four (4) blocks on D Street to the 800 block area (841 D Street SW) where you will see a Metro sign and set of stairs. Take the first set of stairs and bear to the right where the entrance and doors to the food court is located.
access to the building
Members of the DHS SBIR team will be located at the entrances and on the lobby level to direct you to the 9th floor. For easy identification, these team members will wear name badges that indicate they are from the SBIR office.
*There is a set of stairs to reach the lobby level. If you need to bypass the stairs, please let us know in advance so accommodations can be made.
